Medical Director Blends Aesthetic Artistry with Surgery

Dr. Leon A. Goldstein is a board certified plastic and reconstructive surgeon who has been in private practice for more than 10 years. A specialist in hair transplant surgery, Dr. Goldstein is also certified in the field of reconstructive surgery including trauma, aesthetic and cosmetic surgery. His vast surgical experience allows him to bring a successful blend of artistry to fulfill each of his patient's needs.

A native of Connecticut, Dr. Goldstein graduated from Yale University in New Haven, CT and went onto to Albany Medical College in Albany, NY to receive his medial degree in 1978. Dr. Goldstein spent his post graduate training at Rhode Island Hospital in Providence, RI where he participated in the Brown University General Surgery Program followed by a Residency in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. Since then, Dr. Goldstein has led both a distinguished teaching and surgical career.

In addition to being the Medical Director of the Connecticut Hair and Transplant Group, Dr. Goldstein holds clinical appointments at Yale-New Haven Hospital, St. Raphael's Hospital and Middlesex Memorial Hospital. He has also spent the past 9 years as an instructor of plastic surgery at the Yale School of Medicine.

Dr. Goldstein has been recognized many times by the American Medical Association and presented with the Physician's Recognition Award. He is a member of numerous associations including the American Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons and the International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery.

According to CHTG President Val Faucher, the company found the creative ability of Dr. Goldstein to create a natural hair zone and do hair transplants that are absolutely undetectable "is the best in the country." Faucher adds that he and his team have done thousands of transplants, "always with the greatest results."
